For us it’s a unique way to appreciate the important role bees play in pollination and biodiversity.  We are buzzing through life one hive at a time and are bee-yond obsessed.

Stuart

Stuart has been beekeeping since 2018 after being involved in a life changing accident, it had always been on his bucket list! Stuart saw beekeeping as a way to recover mentally but also encouraged him to get out and about with the added benefit of honey along the way!

Ally

Berkshire

Ally has been beekeeping for 7 years, looking after her own personal hives and working with Plan Bee, looking after 4 hives at Ascot Racecourse and a single rooftop hive at Oracle Shopping Centre in Reading. Ally loves sharing her beekeeping wisdom with the younger generation and has been teaching her grandson Rohan since he was 4 years old.

Adam

London

Adam enjoys beekeeping as it offers a unique combination of mindfulness, a connection with nature, and a constant learning curve! There is always something to new to discover about bee behaviour, hive dynamics, and the intricate workings of the natural world.  As if that wasn’t enough it provides a great sense of accomplishment that he is helping the environment too!

Terry Stocker

Terry

Essex

I became a beekeeper when my father, who had been a hobby beekeeper for many years decided to hang up his smoker…. Moving from a built-up area to a beautiful rural landscape in Maldon Essex, I set upon building my own Apiary’s and building my brand to try my best to save the Honeybee population from the extreme decline we have seen over recent years. The need to protect the natural habitat to provide a happy home for our bees has now become very important, so I always ensure my bees have access to the best foraging areas.

I am now part of the Plan Bee team, and I look forward to managing and building Apiary’s around Essex to spread awareness to others in the area.

Malcolm

Reading

Malcolm has been keeping bees in Berkshire and Hampshire for 5 years. He currently manages around 30 hives of his own as well as those he manages for Plan Bee. After 30 years of working in higher education strategy, he now enjoys being out in the open air instead of the boardroom.

Sarah

Cambridge

I started beekeeping with just one nucleus that was purchased for pollination purposes. We as a family planted an orchard, soft fruit plants, vegetables and flowers and hardly saw a bee or any insect, yield was extremely low and the area was just lacking life. Fast forward to today and this area is buzzing with activity; the transformation has been amazing.
I have around 30 hives now and I’m truly blessed working with the honeybee; they are so inspiring. Allow yourself to be immersed into their world, you won’t be disappointed.

Chris

Chris

Grimsby

With over a decade of beekeeping experience under my belt, my passion for bees is still buzzing strong! I’m proud to serve as Chairman of the Lincolnshire Beekeepers Association, where I’ve spent the past few years supporting fellow enthusiasts and championing the craft. By trade, I’m an MOT tester and mechanic—so whether it’s engines or ecosystems, I’m happiest when I’m getting stuck in and making things work.
