Garrard, founded in 1735, was appointed the first Crown Jeweller in 1843 and was looking to extend their sustainability strategy beyond the shop floor and approached us in 2021 to help it develop their urban rooftop garden.
Garrard has a strong sustainability strategy through the responsible sourcing of their precious metals and diamonds and an emphasis on the use of eco-friendly materials in their packaging. Plan Bee worked alongside their team to transform their rooftop into a thriving environment for pollinators.
Working with Plan Bee further supports Garrard’s strong sustainability strategy, which includes how they source silver, gold and gemstones, and their supplier charter, which ensures they are aligned with partners across all areas of the business
Increased pollination levels, with three areas of bee friendly pollinating plants, the garden is designed to support biodiversity levels in urban areas.
The employees at Garrard’s flagship store were keen to be involved in the transformation of the rooftop space, and following advice from Plan Bee’s Head of Biodiversity worked hard to implement the rooftop garden ensuring only to use pollinator friendly flowers and plants.
The United Nations 2023 Agenda for Sustainable Development provides a shared blueprint for prosperity for people and the planet, now and in the future. We believe supporting our clients with this program, contributes towards three of the seventeen goals outlined by the UN.

At Glengoyne, we believe in making a positive impact on the environment that surrounds us. That’s why partnering with Plan Bee felt like a natural step.
We’ve welcomed two beehives into our distillery grounds, helping support the recovery of Scotland’s bee population one hive at a time. It’s a small but meaningful way to boost biodiversity, encourage healthier ecosystems, and give something back to the landscape we’re proud to call home.
Plan Bee’s approach is simple, effective, and inspiring. Not only are we supporting pollinators, but we’re also seeing the benefits firsthand, from more vibrant plant life on-site to the sweet reward of our very own Glengoyne honey.
We started working with Plan Bee in spring 2025, introducing three managed hives across two of our sites. The team has been incredibly knowledgeable, passionate and proactive, making the whole process seamless.
The presence of the bees has been a great talking point with our colleagues and customers alike, and it’s been fantastic to see how this initiative supports both our sustainability goals and local biodiversity.
Working with Plan Bee has been an absolute pleasure. Their commitment to sustainability is evident in everything they do, and it's clear that they genuinely care about making a positive impact on the environment. Not only do they offer innovative, eco-friendly solutions, but their team is incredibly supportive, collaborative, and always willing to go the extra mile.
